When i upload a message with the AppendMesage Method on a IMAP4 Server (I use Lotus Domino 5) like this:

appendmail="Message"
If Mailer.AppendMessage("zSENT", appendmail, , , 0) Then
End If

then on the server the mail appear in the Folder "zSENT" and in the Folder "Draft"

the mail should not be a Draft

Could anyone help me?

MailBee IMAP4 component definitely puts the message only in zSENT folder.

However, it seems the IMAP4 server is configured to automatically place any uploaded message into Draft.

I think you may try to modify your server's configuration to disable automatic copying of messages into Draft.

If it is not possible with your server (either no such option or you have no access to the server configuration) you can workaround the problem by deleting last message from Draft after uploading it to zSENT.

Or you can upload to Draft, then copy last message to zSENT and delete it from Draft.

Alex

hi alex,

thx for the fast answer

the problem is that i could not access the Drafts Folder,
i mean i dont know how to access the Drafts Folder , because the drafts is i think only a view, not a really folder.

thats how when i delete the mail from the draft folder on the server the mail is also deleted from my folder "zSENT"

do you know hoe i can access the Drafts Folder/View or also the Folder/View Sent Objects?

I could explain you my problem:
I would like to send a mail per mailbee smpt and also to put a copy of the mail per imap? in a folder on the server, the best was in the Sent Objects Folder.

Could you give me a solution?
thanks

Could you give us a test account on your IMAP4 server so we would be able to make some tests on message upload/deleting/copying with various folders? You can email us to mailbee@iforum.com.

Alex

thats not possible, because the server is not reachable with imap from the internet, only from the local network.

perhaps you could give me some proposal which i can try to do?
should i mail you my emailadress?

Which folders are in the mail account?

Inbox
Drafts
Sent
ZSent

Can you retrieve this list with IMAP.RetrieveMailboxes method? What happens if you try to put message in Drafts? Is this folder read-only? What happens if you upload in Inbox? Is the message duplicated in Drafts? What happens if you upload to Sent (not ZSent)? Can you remove Drafts folder at all (I mean if you can't change the view but maybe you can get rid of it at all)?

You said you have no access to Drafts folder but you can still examine it, right? Otherwise, how do you know the mail drops there? Do you mean "I have no write/modify access but can read it"?

As you can see, it's just needed to have better knowledge of how folders/views are linked to each other in the mail account to make any conclusions.

You may post your email address but it's not necessary until any confidental info is discussed.

Alex
