Alex, I have noticed that while sending to our domain
the mailbee works fine but when I send to another domains
it fails and give message [Error: Negative or void server response].
Here is brief info. about our setup: Our website is hosted on our ISP server (Both Located in same country
& dedicated hosting type) we have exchange server on
our network.
I can send & retrieve our domains
(newbee@mydomain.com) emails with out any problems but other domains I can't send including hotmail & yahoo etc.
Any Help ?

Typical reason of messages not being sent is relay restrictions of SMTP server you are using.

It seems your SMTP server does not allow sending to external addresses. Many SMTP's allow this only if SMTP authentication is turned on. If you do not use SMTP authentication, you can enable it (Administration panel/WebMail settings/Use SMTP Authentication checkbox).

In WebMail Pro, SMTP Authentication setting is available for each email account (Account properties/Use SMTP Authentication checkbox).

If SMTP authentication doesn't help, it probably means relaying to external servers is disabled in SMTP server settings. To test this, you can try to send mail using this SMTP server with MS Outlook. If it fails, SMTP server configuration needs to be changed to allow relay.

Please let us know the outcome.

Thanks Alex for reply. I'm using Ms-outlook everyday never had any problem for external email addresses.

Alex there is no option :Use SMTP Authentication checkbox
only text box available : SMPT & PORT
[Webmail pro edition we bought apporx. 2 weeks ago.]

Alex one question :

I think external email works fine in our network and
as this website is hosted on ISP server ( does this
create any problems ?) do I need to specify there ISP's
SMTP or Mailbee can work with our SMTP even though website is hosted on ISP webserver ?

Alex, i found that with trail version of webmail lite which is installed on my pc it works fine :
(http://localhost/test/mail/default.asp) can send and
recieve external email. Problem is with webmail pro which is installed on ISP webserver.
Is it necessary to have mailbee webmailpro installed
on the same network ?

In WebMail Pro, to access "SMTP Authentication" checkbox, login to your account, then go to "Settings" menu in the right top corner (near "Logout" button), then click "Account properties" and you will see "Use SMTP authentication" checkbox at the bottom of the dialog window.

As far as I can understand, you run Outlook and WebMail Lite on the same machine? And mail server is within the same network with this machine, while webserver where WebMail Pro is running, is outside this network, right?

If so, your mail server does not allow to relay mail for machines outside its network. In other words, if Outlook was installed on webserver, you would not be able to send using this instance of Outlook.

If you have permissions to conigure your SMTP server, enable relay from IP address of the webserver where WebMail Pro is installed.

However, I still think enabling SMTP authentication will solve the problem. This option should be present in account properties I described above. BTW, don't confuse account properties (which are accessible by each user for his/her account) with WebMail settings (accessible by admin through mailadm.asp page).

You may try to locate this option on WebMail Pro demo after logging in default account (webmaildemo@iforum.com):

http://mailbee.iforum.com/webmailpro

SMTP authentication option is definitely available there.
