Hi there,

When trying to connect to our Exchange server I receive the following error:

Socket connection has been aborted by local machine. InnerException message follows: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine

I can connect to the mail server same account from different other PCs.

Any idea where to search for a solution.

There was a quite similar post but that thread was linked to an other one where I cannot see the similarity.

Thanks,

Stefan

Most likely, you should change firewall/antivirus settings on the computer in question.

Do you have any specific settings in mind?

Starting with disabling the firewall?

Cheers,

Stefan

Yes, disabling everything (antivirus, antispam, firewall, etc) may help to check if it's the reason of the problem. Then, you can start turning all of this on one-by-one to find out the exact module causing problems and configure it if possible to avoid blocking connections to the server.

Alex
