How can I find a marked / starred e-mail in the archive?

I have marked some emails, they appear in the "Marked" folder. If I archive the emails, how can I find them again? They no longer appear in the "Marked" folder, I have to search the archive completely manually ... this is very complicated

While Starred virtual folder applies to Inbox only, you can still search for flagged/starred messages in other folders too, enter has:flagged in the search bar.

Developers also suggested a different approach, select the folder and then append /filter%3Aflagged to URL in the browser's address bar.

Hope this helps.

This are great news and that helps me immensely. Thank you so much for that! Is there a list of possible search criteria?

Most of those options can be found if you use search options in Advanced Search pane, it opens if you click the arrow button to the right of the search bar.
