I'm not sure how afterlogic performs search out of the box but it would be nice to integrate solr.

This one isn't really about webmail, as Solr requires deep integration with mailserver used. However, we're planning to release a new version of webmail & mailserver bundle (currently known as MailSuite Pro) and most likely, it will include Solr.
