Hi again,
I dig into WebMail every day and, of course, I find some minor bugs.
First. When I click on "View" link to display an attached image I can only see a long list of characters on the webpage. I assume its because WriteBinary (or something like that) is not working properly.
Second. When I receive an attachment from a Mac (OSX running with MS Entourage) it is often shown as two files with the same name (the first is 2K size, and the second has the right size like 150K for example). As I'm a clever person () I download the biggest one but when it's on the hard drive it has the same size as the smallest one and, of course, it is corrupted and cannot work. It is happening with files like *.doc or *.jpg but there is no problem with pdf for example.
FYI we are running WebMail under a dedicated Windows 2003 server.
Thanks for any help,
Clovis

Could you please provide us with a test account where we would be able to see the mentioned problems? Please provide:
- WebMail Pro URL/email address/login/password
- mail server host name/POP3 (or IMAP) login/password to the same account so we would be able to check problem mails locally
Also, what type/version of database engine are you using?
You can submit this info at MailBee Support Request.
Regards,
Alex

Thank you for the test account. I logged in there, found one mail, clicked View on the attachment, and the bottles were displayed fine. I also tried download and it worked out fine too. I use IE6.
Seems there is a browser issue in your case. What is the browser name and version you're using?
Regarding the second problem (attachments from Mac) there was no any test mail to try. Could you please send one there?
Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex thank you for taking time for this.
I didn't test with IE6 but I didn't tell you which browser I use (my fault) : it is Firefox 1.5.
Concerning the Mac attachments I don't have example right now because we can't reproduce the problem. But I'll tell you when I have one.
Thanks,
Clovis

Thank you for the bug report. The problem with non-IE browsers is now fixed. The fix was sent to the email address you previously used to purchase WebMail Pro.
Regards,
Alex
