          Hi there,

I just installed Webmail Pro for ASP.net into a blank subdomain using the webinstaller.

Initially I can open webmail with no problems, and everything else seems to work as well.

BUT, throughout the day I get the following error:

WebMail could not find settings file in data folder. Please check web.config.

Anyway, the location path is correct, and after I open and close the web.config Webmail starts to work again.

Any idea why ?????????? Any input or suggestion is highly appreciated.

 C.

The only suggestion as to why that might not work is that IIS cannot access the file for some reason. This might be caused by configuration files found on higher level, web.config of main app for example. Checking system logs sounds like the only option there, though there's a chance that built-in special debug logging of WebMail might help.

Thanks, but this is really vague as this issue occurs randomly. Sometimes it happens within an hour, or yesterday it happened after eight hours.

There is nothing else installed on the subdomain. Just the webmail app and the web.config that comes with it.

I see, unfortunately there's no way for us to help you out without the logs. We've never had this kind of issues ourselves, so for now we're out of ideas what might be causing this.
