I am using webmail lite v5.1.8.
If a message with a large attachment is in my inbox, the filesize column will display an incorrect filesize by about 1.5 times. So an attachment of a 30MB file will show up in the filesize column as being 45MB.
If you click on the message to read it, the attached file shows up in the bottom pane, and if you hover over it, it will correctly tell you the size of the file is 30MB, not 45MB.

Please let us know if this works correctly with the Pro edition. We're going to
update WebMail Lite soon so we need to know if the issue persists in Pro.

Is the pro version free to download?
Can I use the same database as Lite, or do I need to setup a new one for pro?
Thanks

Ok, I found the download link for Pro and just used a new database.
Using Webmail Pro v6.0.3 the problem is still there... Using a 40.9MB file, it shows up as 54.5MB in the Inbox Size column.
Thanks

Ah, I'm sorry. Looks like I have misunderstood the original question.
WebMail Pro shows full message's size in message list, not the attachment size. And when we speak of internal
representation of attachments in email message, those are added in base64-encoded format which adds approx 1/3 of size.
So if you select a message and save it to filesystem using Save button, you'll see that the size is shown correctly.

Just to clarify...
When doing my tests, I attached a 39.7MB file ... this size is the original size as shown in Windows XP on my desktop.
I open Webmail Lite and choose New Message and then choose ATTACH and once the file is uploaded, it shows the attached file size as 39.8MB. Note that I left the message body blank, so the message size is mostly just the attachment.
If I then choose SAVE and then Back To List and then choose the DRAFTS folder, I will see the saved message with attachment listed and in the Size column it shows the message size as 54.5MB.
So just to confirm, I think you are saying that this is correct because when the file is base64 encoded it actually makes it larger by one-third.
Thanks

Yes you've got the point. As I previously mentioned, message list shows the size of email message itself
which will always be bigger compared to attachment's size.

I just checked it in Squirrel Mail and it shows the same thing, so sorry for posting this since it is obviously not a bug!
Thanks
