 We allow customers to login with a mail account suffix (like user/spam@domain.com). (POP3/s with the PHP frontend)
 
 Whilst normal email addresses work fine, we're seeing issue with the above. I presume it's because the variable is being sanitized, or malformed due to the forward slash.
 
 Do you have any pointers on an easy way to allow this. I don't want to disable any global sanitization, just for the login screen
