I must be very stupid, but I don't see a way to access attachments on received mails. I get the little paper clip icon in the list, but there is no obvious way to get to the actual attachment.
Is there an "AfterLogic WebMail for dummies" somewhere on the web site? Or a regular User Manual?

If you have preview pane enabled, attachments and message body will be there. If you double-click the message in the list, it opens full-screen-view and the attachments list will also be there.
Sometimes, however, the message header states it contains attachments but no actual attachments are present. When building the message list, WebMail receives only message headers and does not yet know if each message actually has attachments or not. Maybe, it's your case?
To check this, you can save the message when in full-screen-view, click Save and then open the resulting .eml message in, let's say, Notepad. Do you see actual attachment data there?
It can be somewhat like

If you do not see anything like that, the message does not really have attachment.

Yes, when I save a mail with an attachment as an .eml file and open it in notepad I see the two parts - the mail body and the attachment. The attachment starts with:

I can also access the attachment by using regular Outlook, but I would really like my web client to work as well.

rather than multipart/mixed.

You should know that if the message is created via Outlook or Outlook Express, some of its versions violate MIME, therefore other clients cannot view them (without patching especially for Microsoft's misbehavings).
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case here.

It would be perfect if you provide us with that message for examination. Please save it as EML file from WebMail Pro (you'll need to open message in Full View with a double click first), and we'll need the same message saved as EML by any other email client (Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird). Please submit the message via AfterLogic HelpDesk. Be sure to include this forum page URL for reference purposes.

Hope it's ok to bring up an old thread here. I'm wondering where the setting is to have the preview pane enabled. Some of the attachments I get have a "view" option and some don't. Even files with the same extension, like pdf's. Some of them are viewable and others are not. Why would this be, and just what attachments should be viewable?

In current version, preview pane is always there, you can't disable or enable it.

WebMail Pro doesn't rely on extensions, MIME type of attachment is analyzed instead.
