I succesfully installed AfterLogic webmail lite (installer said that everything met minimum requirements). However, when i try to log in to read my emails i get this error:
Connection is unsuccessful 403
Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document.
Any ideas on what's wrong?
Thanks,
Andrew.

I'd suggest to check the log files of your webserver (which is most probably IIS for .NET version / Apache for PHP version), that could shed some light on the reason of this. And of course you need to make sure that installation process was completed and you're able to log into AdminPanel.

Yes, the installation process did complete and i am able to log into the AdminPanel. The first thing i did was to add my domain using the AdminPanel. However, when i try to log into the webmail i receive the 403 error.
I have looked at my server log files and the only info that i can extract from them is that it accesses the processing.php script. However, i still have no clue why i'm getting this error. I've got to the stage where i've CHMOD everything to 777 and that's still not done the trick.
FYI i'm using PHP (Apache).
Thanks,
Andrew.

Do you have mod_security module set up on your Apache install? There's a chance that this module, which is designed for protection from malicious web scripts, treats some word(s) in web request as hazardous one and is blocking it. If this is the case, it might be helpful to recheck the module configuration and see what word(s) may cause the issue.

got to the bottom of this...
my host told me that afterlogic webmail lite breaks the following mod_security rules:
phpids-33
phpids-58
phpids-45
phpids-68
phpids-2
phpids-1
phpids-38
phpids-37
phpids-43
are these going to be patched anytime soon? looks like there's a few ways to hack in?!

I've checked with developers, none of these are sent by WebMail itself. These may be parts of email messages coming through WebMail, try checking if this occurs for different mail accounts (preferably, try an empty one).
You also need to make sure that you're using the latest version of WebMail Lite.
