Hi,
I am evaluating XMail Server Pro 3.2.1 (.NET).
I have some problems with the calender. When I press "New event" nothing happens. When I click "New calender" I get "Unable to load calendars" when I try to save my new calender.
Any advise?

Are you using DSN connection string to connect to the database? If that's the case, try using regular SQL server connection by specifying SQL login, database name etc. in "Database settings" screen of WebMail Admin Panel.

Igor

How do I do that with MySQL? I removed the DSN entry but then connection fails.

You need to check MySQL option and fill "SQL login", "SQL password" and "Database name". The value for "Host" field is "localhost" in most cases, but you can specify any other value you need.

I tried that, but it doesn't work. I am able to connect with the same credentials using MySQL Query Browser. I use MySQL 5.1.30.

Weee! Now it works! Thanks!
First I removed the DSN entry and then I clicked Test Connection. This was unsuccessful, so I supposed it didn't work. Then I saved the settings anyway, ignoring the failed test attempt, and the calendar works!
Thanks for great support! I will buy a license shortly.

It's hard to find the reason for such issue with no additional information provided. Can you make a screenshot of "Database Settings" screen's current state and send it to us? Any additional information about your system is appreciated.
Regards,
Igor

I logged out, and tried to log in again:
ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
Seems like I am only able to create the tables and login when I use the DSN entry. Isn't this weird?

Solved!
For those of you having the same problem:
1. Leave the DSN field empty in database settings.
2. Install MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51.
3. Restart IIS.
