On my server for WebMail Lite 4.3 script does not work if configure php.ini the following lines installed
magic_quotes_runtime = On, was not to use the script, not taking into account injects, for hacking the system.

WebMail Lite performs escaping all the data transferred between web browser and web server, as well as between web server and mail server. So, there's no need to turn this setting on. Moreover, it's considered deprecated and will be removed in PHP 6, so one shouldn't rely much on it.
Various security advisors (such as Secunia) keep an eye open on our products. If a vulnerability is found, we perform a fix quickly.
