Just tried to install Webmail Lite to see if it would work on my host and was greeted by the error below. Does this mean my shared hosting won't support this product.

Anyone can advise please. Many Thanks.

Try to remove <compilation defaultLanguage="c#" debug="true"/> tag from the web.confing file in the web folder of your WebMail Lite installation. Does it help?

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew, well it got me from that error to the next, so to speak, see below....

This error message contains most probable reason: "virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS".

If you don't have access to configuration of your virtual directory, try to contact your hosting provider and ask them if it's possible to configure the virtual directory as an application.

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew, however this is likely the end of my trial as I know my hosting is very restrictive. So, I'll ask but I know from experience that they'll probably say no.

Thanks anyway for the help.
