We just noticed that the spellcheck option in the htmleditor compose window is not working. When I click on the icon a message appears that says "Loading..." in the top right, but nothing happens afterwards.

I have intentionally misspelled words within the email body as well thinking that maybe it didnt find any errors.

Please let me know.

To let us reproduce and investigate the issue, could you please provide us with a test account in your WebMail Pro installation the issue can be reproduced on?

Best regards,
Andrew

This isnt possible at the moment as the webmail system reside in our dev environment which isnt publically accessible.

Would you mind describing what I should expect to see once clicking the spellcheck icon? I'm suspecting that it must not be configured correctly at the moment.

Does it tie into aSpell or just use its own internal dictionary?

Not sure if this is the cause of the issue but I found a small typo in lang/english.php on line 674. It has 'Please wait…'. (Cannot reproduce full sentence because of the characters in the line). I assume this should read 'Please wait'. Now when I click spell check the incorrect spellings are underlined and clicking on the word produces a selection of spelling suggestions.

Does the spellchecker in WebMail Pro live demo work fine for you?

Although we developed our own spellchecker, it uses dictionaries compatible with aSpell.

We're not sure what exactly it means. Do you mean you'd just removed '…' character and it started working fine?

i tried in both FF3 and IE7 using the Live Demo. They both do the same thing. It looks like the spellcheck option only underlines in red what the mispellings are, but doesnt offer suggestions.

I was expecting suggestions for spelling corrections which led me to believe it wasnt working. If the design here is to only underline the mispellings then i guess it is working.

Are there future plans to offer suggestions for the correct spelling?

My mistake here. I didnt realize that i could click on the underlined word to retrieve a list of suggestions. I was anticipating it would function similar to word or other right text editors like fck.

So for now, all is fine.

Thanks again.
