With version 4.2 .net on a 2003 server I am seeing an unusual amount of timeouts. I have it set to .net 2 and its running in it's own application pool. Am I missing anything else?

First, please make sure the issue is not caused by an antivirus monitor running on your server (it may cause significant performance degradation). If you have such a monitor running, please try to temporarily disable it for test purpose.
If this doesn't help, please enable special debug logging. Uncomment the following lines in the web.config file (located in the WebMail Pro web folder):
Code:
<!--<add name="MyListener"
type="System.Diagnostics.TextWriterT raceListener"
initializeData="c:\temp\webmail.log" />-->
so, it'll look like:
<add name="MyListener"
type="System.Diagnostics.TextWriterT raceListener"
initializeData="c:\temp\webmail.log" /> |
|
|
(make sure IIS has permission to write into the specified location.)
Reproduce the issue and provide us with the log file for examination.
It's necessary to make sure the log file doesn't contain irrelevant records which may appear if multiple users are accessing WebMail Pro simultaneously.
Also, it would be very helpful if you describe the steps which would allow us to reproduce the issue and provide us with the following details:
- URL pointing to your WebMail Pro installation;
- a test account on your mail server the issue can be reproduced on;
- password to WebMail Admin Console (mailadm) if you've changed the default one.
Best regards,
Andrew

Andrew,
I have excluded the antivirus from the webmail directroy and it was still giving me the error. I have done the listener and it has produced the log along with 3 other sublogs. Do you want me to use the link you mentioned earlier to upload them? I have taken off line for the time being but if you would like to get into it, I can light it back up agian. Let me know how to proceed.
Thanks
Jeff

Andrew,
Has anyone had a chance to take a look at the error logs I sent in?
Thanks
Jeff

We sent you our reply on 7 Jul, but looks like you've not received it. Check your antispam configuration.
Anyway, I've just resent it. Please confirm its receipt.
Best regards,
Andrew
