The issue you encountered is a compatibility issue of different versions of MS Visual Studio. We provided you with the Useful article on Microsoft website which describes how to update your Visual Studio and properly convert VS2003 project to VS2005 format.
Even if we provided you with the project already converted to VS2005 format, perhaps, you would face the same issue. We experimented a lot with different versions of Visual Studio and found a lot of compatibility issues:
- VS2003 project converted via VS2005 without special updates or SP1 installed is not able to work properly;
- VS2005 project (even if you create a new simple project) created in VS2005 SP1 cannot be open in VS2005 without SP1 or special updates installed.
- There are some different ways of opening web projects in VS 2005 and some of them don't work in some cases. For instance, File -> Open -> Project Solution is more reliable than File -> Open -> Web Site.
- VS2003 project converted via VS 2005 without SP1, but with special updates works incorrectly in VS 2005 Express Edition SP1.
- etc.
The all of the above are bugs of Visual Studio and the article we mentioned above shows how to fix these issues.
We recommended you to complete the steps described in the article to upgrade your Visual Studio and then convert WebMail project.
For now, you have still not done so. And now you're saying you never got a satisfactory reply. That's not true. All your requests have been replied in a timely manner and the corresponding instructions were given. But you should obviously complete these instructions in order to solve your issue.
Best regards,
Andrew

Yes, we're sure the entire source code (exclude the source code of MailBee.NET Objects which is shipped as a compiled .dll) is shipped in the original package. The project can be customized and recompiled.
Actually, we don't have any information about your calls. Could you please let us know which phone number did you use for contacting us, when it was, and how did you introduce yourself? Use our Support Form for this purpose.
Best regards,
Andrew
