Same happens with upgrade 9.8.0 -> 9.8.1
Code:
| [19:29:13.64][33210169] Exception: Aurora\System\Exceptions\ApiException: ApiException in /var/www/modules/TwoFactorAuth/Module.php:1201 |
|
|
(Logs are from two separate servers)
If i disable TwoFactorAuth then DAV works again.
If i enable TwoFactorAuth module, then it does not, and it does not matter if i set Skip2FA true or false in Dav.config.
If i downgrade to 9.8.0, dav starts to work correctly again.
Tested also with clean install (without adding modules, etc), result was same - dav does not work.

Got it, will have this looked into.

Is there any difference in the logs in these two situations?

Hello Igor
Only difference is line number between versions.
If i set Skip2FA true or false, it does not matter and logs are same in both situations.
Two lines (1199 and 1200) that came with commit 663c79d in aurora-module-two-factor-auth Module.php file are the ones that produce this behavior.
Code:
} else {
throw new \Aurora\System\Exceptions\ApiException(\Aurora\System\Notifications::AuthError);
|
|
|
Those lines were not there in 9.8.0
If i comment them out (both 9.8.1 and 9.8.2 versions), dav works ok - user authenticates correctly, gets his contacts and calendars correctly, and there is no errors in logs.
I tested also (with those two lines commented out) with 9.8.2 a behaviour where user has 2FA set up (worked OK) and user uses dav, and it worked also ok.

Got it, forwarding the info to the developers. And just to doublecheck, with 2FA disabled, everything works fine, correct?

Confused a bit here.
"2FA disabled"? As module (globally) or as function by user?
It does not matter if user has 2FA enabled or disabled (if that is what you mean).
Behaviour is still same - dav does not work.
But if 2FA module is disabled, then dav works OK.

Ohh I see. Strangely enough, I'm unable to reproduce such an issue, everything works locally as well as on my test server, and "Skip2FA" works as intended as well. I hope developers will be able to offer some ideas.

Yes, i know. i connected yesterday to afterlogic aurora demo server with dav, and calendars worked OK there.
Can you ask developers: in what condition this last error is executed?
Maybe some module or user settings can cause this in certain configuration.
In meantime, i'll install clean version with new and clean DB and unmodified module configs to our test server and see what happens.
So fas i have tested with my module configs and DB.
I'l let you know how it goes.

I think I've found something. This seems to be caused by "AllowUsedDevices" set to true - in such a case, I'm unable to log into DAV indeed, even if the particular user has 2FA disabled.

You are right.
I had "AllowUsedDevices" enabled, and disabling it makes dav work again.

v9.8.6
This bug is now a bit different.
(Havent tested DAV yet.)
If AllowUsedDevices is enabled and you log in to desktop version of webmail with device that has small screen, and you click mobile version you get errors.
Those numbers grow very rapidly.
If AllowUsedDevices is false OR those two lines
Code:
} else {
throw new \Aurora\System\Exceptions\ApiException(\Aurora\System\Notifications::AuthError);
|
|
|
are commented out everything works as expected.
Also, there seems to be problem with logout button on new mobile version.
It just does not work, tested this on aurora demo too, same result, click how many times you want - nothing happens
In my test env i also got same errors if AllowUsedDevices was enabled and those two lines commented out.
Log said: Exception: Aurora\System\Exceptions\ApiException: ApiException in /var/www/modules/TwoFactorAuth/Module.php:1243

Hello,
To correct the errors on mobile version, you need to use "Delete browsing data" option of your browser and remove the data related to the website; after that, it all should work.
As for the logout not working, could you please confirm that you performed the migration of database tables with:
Code:
| ./system/bin/console migrate |
|
|
or by running "Update tables" in adminpanel? Thanks!

For the second part: yes, i did run update tables and update configutation before logging in and testing.
Further more: it also happened with afterlogic aurora demo.
I'll try to make a video.
Oh, and another thing, update was from v9.8.4 to v9.8.6
And after update, i was unable to log in (both, as user and as admin from adminpanel). Logs then complained about missing table.
I had to disable 2FA plugin in order to log in to adminpanel and update tables, which created missing table and then, when i enabled 2FA plugin, i was able to log in again.
So it seems that requierment for missing table creates a situation where you cannot log in as admin to create that missing table.
As for "Delete browsing data", i'll test that and let you know.

I did "Delete browsing data" and behavior changed.
Maybe this flow gives you a clue.
If i log in from mobile version, everything work as it should all the time, i can log out and log in as many times as i want.
If i log in from mobile version and switch to desktop version and back to mobile version, again, everything works it should.
But, if i log in from desktop version and switch then to mobile version with /?mobile then log out no longer works in mobile version.
After that, if i log on from mobile version, everything works again.
So it seems that it mattesrs from which UI i log in.
Between those steps, browsing data was not deleted.
I cannot reproduce this in aurora demo, so maybe it has to do with some plugin setting or something.
I tried to disable 2FA and securitysettings module, but that did not change behavior.
Also, somehow, when 2Fa module was enabled, i did not see that in my test, but in afterlogic aurora test, it was there in mobile version.

Hello,
Let's put the issues you encountered in order.
Is the initial problem with accessing Aurora via DAV resolved now?
If so, as I understand it, there are two remaining issues:
many error notifications and inability to log out from the mobile UI;
inability to log in as an admin after upgrading the system from 9.8.4 to 9.8.6.
Is that correct?
Also, could you please check the exact Aurora version in the VERSION file? It should be 9.8.6.build9.
If the build number is different, please download the build again and update the installation to the latest build.
Thank you.

I see that things have changed.
My downloaded package has version 9.8.6.build7 it is from 27 August.
I'll re-download newer package and test again.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Downloaded package again and now it has version 9.8.6.build9-build-o3
DAV problem is gone. Calendars and contacts work OK.
Mobile UI logot problem is gone, it will log out and back in again without any problems.
But, there are some issues.
I'll create new thread for them.
