hello
i don't see a button to "Discard Changes" in draft mails.
And, if i open an existing draft, do some edits, change my mind about the edits, and close the email, you don't ask "Save your changes?"
I think it's standard to ask "Save changes?", before closing a document.

Discarding changes is actually there, but it only shows up if you were composing a message, then have it minimized and attempt to overwrite it by, for example, making reply to a different message. We're assuming that discarding draft is essentially deleting it. And since WebMail saves the message automatically during editing it, there's no easy way to have it discarded, unless we're speaking of discarding changes since the last autosave.

i mean discarding all changes during the edit session, or at least all changes since last manual save.
does not help my workflow that i have to minimize and start composing some other message to discard changes-- should be an option right in the compose window.
thx

It's impossible to implement this feature via IMAP. It will need database backend to store emails (at least drafts), not IMAP.
