is it possible to view the headers of an email in WebMail Lite, esp. the ones that are sent to the Spam/Trash folders?

That feature is not available in current version. As a workaround, you can save the message as EML file and open it with any text editor.

thanks for the answer.

How can I do this? Clicking the Save button copies the message to the Drafts folder, and I can't find another way.

You're speaking of Save button in Compose mode, while I was referring to one of the buttons available in message view mode:
