The product documentation offers insight to existing plugins and covers API on both server-side and clientside (PHP and JavaScript) levels. The recommended way here is to check the available plugins so that you can create new ones based on them.

I have created a plugin with these sample.

But the new settings tab is not showed...

PS.: I have tested with/witout added this line to config.php
'plugins.custom-settings-plugin' => true
