Hi,
After begin using the AfterLogic in production server, it started cause the server overload. Before it was 3%, and now increases to 40% per day.
When I see the processes typically have the following:
Pid Owner Priority CPU % Memory % Command
2638 (Trace) (Kill) user1 0 94.0 0.1 /usr/bin/php /home/user1/public_html/afterlogic/index.php
5510 (Trace) (Kill) user1 0 93.7 0.1 /usr/bin/php /home/user1/public_html/afterlogic/index.php
27556 (Trace) (Kill) user1 0 50.0 0.7 /usr/bin/php /home/user1/public_html/afterlogic/index.php
27674 (Trace) (Kill) user1 0 50.0 0.7 /usr/bin/php /home/user1/public_html/afterlogic/index.php
4217 (Trace) (Kill) user1 0 43.6 0.8 /usr/bin/php /home/user1/public_html/afterlogic/index.php
When I kill all the process, the server load normalizes.
Can you help us? We do not know what to do.
Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, it's not really possible for us to determine what's causing that, we need a reliable pattern which would allow us to reproduce the issue. Ideally, that should be a specific test account or specific email message which causes the increased load upon accessing it with WebMail.
By the way, did you try my suggestion from the other thread? In case if you run version 7.2, you don't need to modify the code, just supply the following parameter in data/settings/config.php file:
Code:
'labs.allow-thumbnail' => false, |
|
|
As far as developers can tell, generating attachments' thumbnails is the only operation in entire WebMail that could probably cause such issues. And since we get such reports from time to time since version 7.1 release when the feature was added, this makes us suggest this thing might be the reason of the issue.

Thanks Igor,
I changed the file libraries/ProjectSeven/ActionsBase.php according the post mentioned.
I'm waiting these processes arise again to give you a return.

As I have already said, we can't really determine what is causing the problem unless we have a reliable pattern for reproducing it. Ideally, we need a test account or a message which causes performance issues upon accessing it with WebMail.

same issue here.
cannot find specific account/message causing the issue.
after running for few hours, cpu is stuck at 100%,
after running for some more time, CPU is stuck at 200%
restarting httpd service drops cpu usage to 0.01%, until it raises again.
how to debug this ?
can i just create some cron to kill httpd every few minutes?
edit:
also posted this on another thread:
http://www.afterlogic.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5252&PN=1&TPN=2
not sure which is more relevant/active.

In version 7.4, we've added a number of fixes which should help towards CPU overload issue, so try switching to the latest version and see if the issue persists there.
