Hi I have my mail hosted using Hmailserver + Afterlogic webmail lite PHP version 7.1.1.1.
In Hmailserver there is thing called aliase, which is an address that reveal to user and direct the email to real account. e.g. divert john@domain.com to staff001@domain.com.
The problem is that user login thru outlook have their email address set as aliase@domain.com, but for AW webmail user their email always appear as staff001@domain.com, which I do not want.
I want to know whether AW lite able to allow login using aliase, so that when they send email from webmail, sender address at recipient side always show aliase only.
(Identity of AW can actually solve my problem but I'm aware it is not being release/might released on Pro version only)
I also found a table in AW webmail database called mailaliases. Not sure whether this can help in my case cause I have no idea what value to put in since I got no GUI to input.
Thank you.

It cannot be achieved that way directly, the email address you log in with is what's specified as From address. However, we've just released v7.2 and as of this version, you can have multiple identities supplied for your account. When sending email out, you can select one of those identities in From dropdown, and the selected address is what recipient is going to see.
