What font is used as a standard?

There's no default font. If you don't use font selector when composing mail, font isn't specified in HTML anywhere.

is there a way to make every email have the same font and size?
we use different computers and sometimes the fonts look different from another pc.

I can check with the developers, but first, please clarify: are you referring to messages you compose, or received mails? In other words, do you wish to modify font information mails when writing or reading them?

According to the developer in charge of UI, there's no easy way to add this kind of feature.
