Hi All, not sure where best to post suggestions.
I've been using Aftermail Lite for about a year now, and it is really awesome. I used to use SquirrelMail, and RoundCube, but I really like Aftermail for:
* its speed
* keyboard-driveability (e.g shift arrow for multi select, del key for delete etc).
* speed
* layout options (3 column view mode is great).
* did I mention speed.
It would be even better IMO with a couple of minor additions.
1. Ability to expand / collapse folders. I have 600 folders, grouped hierarchically. Need I say more. SquirrelMail has the ability to expand collapse, and remember which nodes are expanded, so next time you log in, it's the same.
2. Better highlighting of folders that contain new mail. These should at least have their entry in the tree bolded. With 600 folders, and 3 have new mail, the small normal font "(1)" at the end of the mailbox name simply is not visible enough.
3. Better support for managing mailboxes which are subscribed. A "select all" option would be really useful. Having to click the checkbox on 600 folders is tedious at best. Also, I'm not sure about the reordering logic,but it should be able to be reset to native server order (which normally depends on filesystem so will be alpha).
Thanks
Adrien

Thank you for your suggestions, I will make sure the developers are aware of them. There's actually a Suggest a Feature forum thread, but creating a separate thread is absolutely okay.
We're currently working on version 7 of WebMail (both Lite and Pro), which is basically a product rewritten from scratch. So there's a good chance the new release will meet your requirements (or, at least, some of them).

Dear Adrien,
I'd like to thank you again for your suggestions. We've just had a conversation with lead developer and product manager, and we believe most of the items can be added into the roadmap for the nearest or subsequent release.
Current development snapshot of v7 already has a nice highlighting for folders containing new messages, and it shouldn't be a problem to add collapsing/expanding for the folder tree - with saving tree status, of course. At the moment, we're not sure if this will be stored server-side or on browser end.
As for Manage Folders screen itself, it's still in early stage of development. Most probably, reordering tool with a reset switch will be there. As for group operation for handling subscriptions, we probably won't be adding that. Based on our experience, most users already have all the folders subscribed when the account is added to WebMail.
