I don't think so. We do allow modifying the source code, but that's your responsibility area.

RoundCube is about the ONLY Web Mail Program like this that has Emoticon Smileys WITHOUT needing a Plugin. YAH00, G00GLE & services like that, have Emoticon Smileys. That would help with the sales of AfterLogic!

There are no sales for WebMail Lite
As for the Pro version, we're not planning to add it there in the near future.
And if you manage to add smiley support in WebMail, sharing the knowledge on the forum is highly appreciated. After all, it's the community resource

For now, I Added a ZIP Download that has 14 Animated Emoticons, and I encourage Valued Users to Download & Use those. If I'm able to Add a Emoticons Feature to the Web Mail, I'll let you know!

We would like to modify the toolbar of the email editor to add a new button that can add emoticon images into the email text. Our idea was to basically just duplicate the code for the existing add Insert Image button, and then just modify it a little so that it will add emoticon images from the server. Can you direct us to what file we should look at to find the code for the HTML toolbar. Or do you think you could implement this feature for us? Thanks - your help is greatly appreciated. -Justin

Yes, that's how it looks like. Just make sure you position the new icon in the file correctly; that smiley in the 2nd row looks shifted to the left. Some of the icons found there are not actually used, so you can replace those.

Hello this is Justin again. Andrew and I are working on adding the toolbar button to insert the emoticons. So far we have followed the instructions and it seems to make sense, but it doesn't seem to be picking up our changes.
For example, just as a test we modified the click handler for insert horizontal rule to add an unordered list instead, but still when the horizontal rule button is clicked, it inserts the horizontal rule.
What needs to happen for the changes to to become active? Thanks again for all your help! :-)
Justin

Changes Are Picking Up NOW! However Our EMOTICON Image In The Toolbar Shows Up BLANK. We're Doing Our BEST To Figure That Out.

The Emoticon Now Shows Up. In The The Adding A Icon Directions The X & The Y Appear To Be BACKWARDS.
Right now we have working:
insertAnimatedEmoticons: function ()
{
alert('Animated Emoticons Coming Soon!');
}
But we want to add something like
this._execCom('InsertAnimatedEmoticon');
but we don't know where to define the InsertAnimatedEmoticon function.
Could you tell us where to define this function? For example, where is the InsertHorizontalRule function defined? Thanks very much!!

It's not something found in WebMail code. The editor uses built-in functionality of the browser. If you check _execCom function definition in js/mail/html-editor.js file, you'll find it uses execCommand method, and its syntax varies between different browsers.
And since this is basically about inserting an image in your case, check the code responsible for insertImage functionality.

We Found InsertHorizontalRule In MORE Than One Place In js/mail/html-editor.js. Justin Left This Area At Least For A Short While, However I'll Ask Him To Answer This.

From Justin... Igor:
We now understand what you are saying, that the execCommand function invokes built-in browser code, so therefore we will write our own function possibly basing it on the existing InsertImage code. Thank you again for your help.
