Most probably, this is about memory_limit setting of your PHP configuration. It's not possible to suggest exact value required in each specific case, but based on our experience, memory_limit set to Z Mbytes allows for processing messages of total size Z/10 Mbytes.

This knowledge base article might be helpful too.

Hi Igor,

I Combined Some Of My Web Sites Onto A Server That I Recently Just Started Using, And Now I & Valued Users Under Me Are OFTEN Seeing 500 Internal Server Errors In The Web Mail Log In Area. What's Your Take On That Issue? Below Is What It Says In The cPanel Error Log Area.

[Sun Nov 04 12:47:32 2012] [error] [client 70.59.115.15] File does not exist: /home/mme/public_html/500.shtml, referer: https://www.MyEmailSite.com/Our-Valued-Users-Area/webmail.php

That log entry doesn't allow for finding the reason, unfortunately. All it says is there was Error 500 and special page for displaying the error message wasn't found. Try and see if you can find more specific error message.

How About (CAN'T Connect To The Database), (User DOESN'T Exist), And Error Messages Like That. Is That A KNOWN ISSUE With This Software?

"The account doesn't exist, perhaps, it has just been deleted."

I See That ERROR Often, And So My Valued Users Likely Also See That. That DOESN'T Happen With Popular Web Mail Programs.

Beg to differ here, those aren't software issues. If WebMail cannot access the database, it would mean something is wrong with the database or the access credentials you provided. WebMail doesn't use any special code, just basic PHP functions for MySQL access, and if those fail to work - I don't see what it has to do with WebMail at all.

To avoid any further misunderstanding: WebMail Lite is a free community product. And it's YOU who is supposed to troubleshoot the issues you encounter. If you are interested in free support from the software vendor - we have WebMail Pro available for you.

Of course, there's always a chance you can get a response from another community member - but that doesn't really work well now, for various reasons.
