AfterLogic Forum,
My name is Joey and I am currently working on getting a mail spool working. I am using IMAP and SMTP and running Afterlogic Lite ASP.NET version. Basically my server, to login, requires the e-mail, username, and password. When I created the first ~20 accounts I would enter the e-mail and the password and it would say that it can't authenticate. This wasn't an issue (I have hide login selected in the admin panel) for I would just enter the short name for the user and select login. This would log me in, and next time the information seemed to be saved as far as the login name and it only required the e-mail and password to work. This was great!
Now, I created a few new accounts on my server and I am having the problem where it doesn't seem to be saving the login and always comes up with invalid credentials until I click on advanced login and fill out the username manually. I have use the option of hide login and use e-mail as login selected in the options, and have tried changing those settings in various combinations to no avail. It doesn't seem to be saving the login info like it did. Any ideas?

Sorry I forgot to add that the accounts I had before with the same settings are still working, no problem. It is the new accounts it isn't working with.

Sounds puzzling to me. As long as the set of server parameters is the same for both existing and new accounts, it's hard to tell what might be causing this. BTW, is my understanding correct that mail server login doesn't match email address but matches its username part? If so, I don't really see how "use e-mail as login" would work for you. Could you please explain this one? Thanks.
