Are you sure XMail service is running? Try connecting to administrative port 6017 of AfterLogic XMail Server via telnet, e.g.:

Code:
telnet localhost 6017

Please also run XMail Server in debug mode and provide us with its output:

Code:
/var/MailRoot/bin/XMail --debug -Md

Hi, I was getting the same error about not being able to connect, I tried stopping/starting/restarting service. Restart hangs. But if I do stop/start, it appears to start, however I ran in debug mode and got the following:

Segmentation fault

Actually, I need to make note, I am still getting the error about not being able to connect. I said "was" in my previous reply... but I "am" getting it.

Is it the only output you get in debug mode, or it's just the last line? What's the operating system you're trying to install XMail Server onto?

Do you have any other POP3/SMTP services running on your system? You can test this by trying to connect to localhost via telnet on ports 110 for POP3 or 25 for SMTP.

Igor
