I'm looking for information on whether SSL plugin will enable encrypting emails.

We're setting up a site with a request form for vehicle ferry reservation and need to submit vehicle size/type/date as well as credit card information. We don't want to setup an application to receive this information but instead, just send this to us through email so we can manually update our system. We would then delete the information received through email.

Can you help me out with this?

 Thank you!

MailBee SSL plugin encrypts transmission channel between mail sender and mail server. Emails are SSL-encrypted by MailBee on mail sender side, and automatically decrypted on mail server side. Thus, all data transfer between MailBee and mail server is completely secure.

However, if mail server then resends email somewhere around Internet(for example, relays it to another server), it's mail server's responsibility to provide secure transmission channel. If mail server does not resend mail or relays it only within secure corporate intranet, email delivery can be considered safe.

In other words, MailBee SSL secures not emails themselves but the transmission channel used to deliver these emails to target server.

 Regards,
 Alex
