I'm using Webmailpro against a dovecot mailserver with Pidgeonhole

I can set scripts for filters and forward, but the vacation fails

This is output from debug log

> CHECKSCRIPT {325+}\r\n
> # Sieve filter\nrequire ["fileinto", "copy", "vacation"] ;\n\n#begin = forward =\n#data=0~\n#redirect :copy "";\n#end = forward =\n\n#begin = autoresponder =\n#data=1~KE5vdCByZWFsbHkpAA==\nvacation days: 1 :subject "I'm on Holiday" "(Not really)";\n#end = autoresponder =\n\n#begin = filters =\n#sieve filter\n\n\n#end sieve filter\n#end = filters =\nkeep ;\r\n
< NO {188}\r\n
< NULL_1411450890.M752631P6118.k: line 11: error: expected end of command ';' or the beginning of a compound block '{', but found ':'.\r\nNULL_1411450890.M752631P6118.k: error: parse failed.\r\n

seems to be needing a curly braces wrapper

That's a known issue, please install the latest version of WebMail Pro PHP, that should help.

Please recheck the version number according to this documentation page - can you confirm it's 7.4.0.7 running there?
