Hi there,
I am running the latest version of Webmail 6 which I tried to update to Webmail 7. I followed the upgrade instructions exactly with some changes.
- I installed Webmail 7 in a new folder.
- I copied the required files from my original install (for an upgrade installation) to the new folder
- I exported the webmail database via PHPMyAdmin, created a new database called WEBMAIL7, and imported the webmail 6 tables into it.
- I ran the /ADMINPANEL, inserted my trial key, and updated the tables.
All was successful, but when I try to login with one of my mail accounts, I get a message that the user / password is incorrect.
My webmail 6 install has the setting OFF for logon with e-mail address. Should it be ON for version 7?
Thanks!

Well, solved my own problem. Seems the database table update was not successful the first time, because logs showed several "unknown table" errors. So, pressed the update tables AGAIN from the admin panel, and all was well after.
Seems this often happens with a tech issue of mine - I'll wrestle with it, then write about it... then solve it.
Sorry but maybe this will help anyone else with an upgrade.
