Hello There,

I've been using Webmail Lite and i've a problem dealing with attachments.
Every time i try to open an attachment, i get a new window with the following error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxxxx.xxx.xx and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

When i try to downlaod the file, nothing happens.

Also, every time i try and view or download an attachment, a file called core.XXXXX with 8.24MB (XXXXX is a random number) is generated in the webmail installation folder.

I'm using Cpanel shared hosting, and i'm able to upload files and send emails with attachmetns.

I'm using the latest version available.

From the console (F12) i can see the following errors:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you very much in advance,

Best Regards
Miguel Dias

Hi,

To find out what's causing the issue, you need to check webserver/PHP logs. I'm not a cPanel expert but I think there should be a tool for that purpose there.

Hi,

First of all thank you for the reply.
I've checked the logs and the information present is the same of the erros presented.

I'm also in contact with our host, and i think the problem may be due to folders/files permission. Have you ever had a similar problem?
The email signature images also don't display, what makes me think it is really a permission problem.

Best Regards

There must be a more specific error somewhere in PHP logs, assuming that verbose logging is enabled of course. Without that information, it's not really possible to suggest what's causing the problem.
