Hi there
Why is there no pop3 in the php version of webmail pro
i really like webmail pro and really disappointed that you guys removed pop in the latest version
I would use the asp.net version but it costs way too much!!!
regards
Jeremy

Version 7 of the product was a complete rewrite, and its primary goal was to make the product as optimized as possible when it comes to handling emails. In case of IMAP, most operations can be performed on server: email sorting, search, dealing with folders, handling message flags, etc. With POP3, however, none of this can be done unless you keep a local copy of account data on web server. Eventually, handling both POP3 and IMAP would require having two different email applications with different logic, and we chose against that.

Sad it would of made a good app that has the convents of both worlds the adaptability that most webmail systems dont have. As a Hoster. i found the ability to have mail stored in both mail server and webmail has the more reliance and stability that can help in many situations especially corporate and redundancy. i now have to find something just like you system. as version 6 lacks that version 7 has and far less bugs

POP3's era is over. It's time to move on.
If you encounter any issues with version 7, you can use our HelpDesk to post them.

Alex
