I just installed the webmail. The install was successful but when I want to send a message I'll get this error.
"An error occured during sending the message"
I've all-ready searched in the forum, but I can't find the solution. Maybe because it's all new to me.

That's a known problem, and the solution for it was posted in this forum topic.

I changed the code and tried different ports.
SMTP auth is enabled.
I don't understand everything in that topic but I must do something wrong.

Have just tested this, and SMTP hostnames you mentioned don't seem to respond. However, this FAQ page mentions a different SMTP host, send.one.com - and I was able to use it to send mail from that account, I've used port 25, no SSL.

It didn't work with send.one.com but I've found the solution.
mailout.one.com, No SSL, Port 25, No authentication
Thanks for helping!

Hey Guys,
Got the same problem with one.com.
i tried mailout.one.com, no ssl, port 25, no auth and finally emails got delivered.
at the email form in the webinterface remains a error "Data transfer has failed, probably due to server error. Please contact system administrator.", but emails got delivered.
Someone got the same experience?
Regards,
moe

Checking the logs is required if you'd like to know the exact reason of failure. Also, please check my previous post - I got a successful send using connection details mentioned there.

Based on the issue description, I would suggest that it occurs when trying to upload sent mail into Sent folder. Still, it's needed to study the logs to find out what exactly is causing this.

Then it's probably unrelated to communicating with mail server, something else makes PHP throw error there, so checking PHP logs may help.

Out of ideas, then. If there's a message about XML data packet damaged by something, that would typically be caused by PHP error message.
I'd recommend to check browser console (enabled with F12 key in Google Chrome, for instance) and see if anything unusual is displayed in that console.
