Hello!
Could you tell me when can we see pop3 support for the Webmail Pro?
Now it is only IMAP, right? I'm going to buy your program but I need for pop3 and I don't want to leave emails on the email-server when I get its.
Thanks.

We'll be adding support of fetching email to IMAP server from POP3 server. But I don't think webmail will ever be able to access email directly via POP3. Direct support for POP3 is over.

Alex

Thank's for your reply.

Hm, could I ask why? As I see 6 version works with pop3 good enough. And a lot of users use the pop3-access.
I don't want to leave emails on the email-server when I get its. I want to use my own server as email client (but WEB email client) :) I see that 6 version Webmail would be good enough for it. How can I do it in the 7th version?
Thank you.

It stays that way before you get a lot of accounts and a lot of emails in those. Due to the nature of POP3, WebMail has to store mails locally and permanently, which means emails are basically hosted by web server - and sooner or later it gets out of control. The other option is to store just the headers of emails, but that means you need to download mail message to some temporary web folder every time you need to work with that message. Lastly, POP3 protocol doesn't offer many things IMAP does (read/unread message status, mail folders, search, fetching mails partially) and seeing that most email services and mail servers offer IMAP support nowadays, it's no longer feasible for us to support POP3.
