In case of WebMail Pro PHP, autoresponder can be used if your mail server has Sieve support enabled and ManageSieve service is running. If your mail server supports Sieve but ManageSieve service is not available, you can use our ManageSieve Server.

In case of WebMail Pro ASP.NET, autoresponder is only handled when hMailServer is used and integration with it is enabled.

Hi Igor,

We are testing Webmail Pro PHP and we think is a great sollution, but we are finding some problems using de sieve filtering. We've a mail server with Dovecot installed and we're using the default managesieve implementation, that works correctly with other solutions like Horde but not with your Webmail Pro PHP.

We've tested it with the default plugins (sieve-autoresponder, sieve-filters and sieve-forward), in the webmail interface we don't see any error but there aren't connections to our mail server, so it's not working properly. Also, we've installed the webmail-sieve-filters plugin following this instructions:

http://www.afterlogic.com/wiki/Use_Sieve_for_filtering_%28WebMail_Pro_6_PHP%29#Install_Sieve_plugin_for_WebMail_Pro

Modifying the host option with our mail server IP, but when I try to create a filter in the webmail interface an alert shows saying:

'Error while parsing XML. Error code 2.'

We've checked the apache logs to see why this is happening and this is what the log says:

PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/var/www/webmail/libraries/afterlogic/../../libs/sieve/sieve-php.lib.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/webmail/data/plugins/webmail-sieve-filters/sieve.php on line 11, referer: http://ourhostname/webmail/webmail.php

That required library doesn't exists in our installation, so we don't know if it's a problem of our installed files or we have to change the path to point to another file.

If you need more info, let me know.

Thanks in advance

I understand you're using current version of WebMail Pro (6.4 at the moment), and in that case, you don't need to download any plugins, you should use those which come with the package. If they don't work for you, you'll need to check the logs, and if studying the log files doesn't shed light onto reasons of the issue, we might be able to assist if you provide us with access to the system in question. You can send access details via our HelpDesk, be sure to mention URL of this forum topic.

Thanks for your reply Igor.

Finally we got it working by editting manually some php files to write the sieve filters on our mailserver, changes like adding manually the host IP, the safe connection method and the type of login that we use in Dovecot.

So, Auto Responders Require Plugins?

That's correct in terms of standalone WebMail Pro (PHP), and it's necessary to make sure your mail server supports Sieve. If you use MailSuite Pro for Linux though, both Sieve support and autoresponder feature are available out-of-box there.
