Bonjour,

A few days ago I saw that Funambol released a new Android client with calendar and contacts synchronization, while the previous versions had only pictures and contacts sharing.

I updated Webmail Pro PHP to the version 6, installed Funambol server and mobile client. All is broadly working.
If I understand well, the sync update is as follow :
- Webmail Pro stores its datas on the database,
- the calendar/cron/funambol.php script updates Funambol server every minute,
- on the mobile, Funambol provides a functionality wich can be scheduled to update the Android calendar with the Funambol server.

But, with the calendar sync I notice an annoying thing on Android. Manually I tested those two processes :
- I add an event on Webmail Pro, I run the script, then I start a sync on Android. That works, I get the new event on Android.
- I add an event on Webmail Pro, I start a sync on Android (the new event does not appear. Ok), I run the script and a new sync on Android. The event stays missing.

So, the issue will certainly repeat if the scheduled sync an Android starts before the cron job on the server.

Am I right about that or did I made something wrong ?
Thanks.

According to the developers, they're aware of several issues in calendar and Mobile Sync implementation, and they're going to revise it completely. In particular, new calendar backend implementation will use CalDAV approach, while the frontend will stay pretty much the same. I understand the task is of a high priority so there might be some good news soon.

Thank you Igor for the information. So I will stop trying to make that work

I had already looked for it but did not find any newsletter on Afterlogic website. Do you offer a way to be kept in touch with your updates announcements or new products ?
