Hi, I had the opportunity to build a new mailserver when mine crashed last night. The new machine has a new ip address. I went to configure the new ip in the adminpanel to find that it was set to localhost. The mail server and the webserver for Webmail Lite didn't used to be on the same server. It doesn't matter, what address I put in the POP and SMTP server fields, it still tries to connect to the old IP. I have verified this from the logs generated by Webmail Lite. As a workaround, I have configured the new and the old addresses on the NIC on the system so that it responds to Webmail Lite's requests.
I cannot find the address of the old mailserver in any of the old config files.
Can any one tell me where the IP is being stored so that I can fix this.

In case if you have supplied localhost as mail server name, WebMail would resolve it automatically at all times
without any caching. You might need to tweak data of user accounts though, direct database tweak may be helpful.

I'm not familiar enough with mySQL to edit the database. Does the mailserver IP get stored in the user account settings. I couldn't find any references to the IP in any files in the data folders.

If you have initially specified IP address for mail server, then yes, IP address will be there. Check awm_accounts
table, look for particular email and see what's set for mail_inc_host and mail_out_host.
