I'm trying to get the webmail-lite to work on my recently ordered Hosting24
server. In particiular, I'm trying to get it to connect to gmail as per the FAQ
(http://www.afterlogic.com/support/faq-webmail-lite-php#7) although am not having
any luck.

I suspect it could have something to do with open ports on the server. Which ports
should I request to be open?

Or is there any other special configuration steps required?

You need to make sure that you have OpenSSL extension enabled in PHP configuration. Without that, it would not be
possible to connect to SSL-powered mail services like GMail. One of the ways to check that is run the following
script and search for openssl in the output:
