hmail integration was working perfectly with v5 however after upgrading to v6 I am
unable to get it to work.
I have followed the steps on this wiki page
http://www.afterlogic.com/wiki/Integration_with_hMailServer_ (WebMail_Pro_6_.NET)
however nothing is happening.
what am I missing?

Just made a bit of modification to the documentation page, it is related to configuration
file where admin credentials for hMailServer are stored. Please see if it works for you now.

Not sure whom do you expect updates from since this is a community resource.
According to the developers, the hMailServer integration is fully functional in WebMail Pro (ASP.NET) 6.0.1. You might
need to recheck the permissions granted to the DLLs, setting Full Control for Everyone temporarily might be a good idea.

thanks for your reply igor.
infact I did set the permissions to Everyone already and I have done everything
I can think of... but nothing is happening and the users dont have any extra
options for changing password or vacation notification as in v5. its like
webmail is not even noticing that there are plugins needs to be initiated.
is there a way to force the password reset and vacation responder to show up
manually for users? edit the settings file perhaps?
and I am not sure if the log reports reporting anything as I see all normal, and
no errors at all.
I will go back to v5 for now. and please if you can pass my message to the
developers.
we have already paid license for 25 users for testing stage not production. and
I really prefer to be on the latest version when we go on production and switch
all users to Afterlogic

We might be able to reproduce the issue but we need to know more details about the environment you have there:
operation system used (name, version number, 32-bit/64-bit), hMailServer version number, database engine used etc.

Thanks igor,
After downgrading to v5 hmail integration works perfect as expected.
however, last night I have installed the new 6.0.2 and iam still unable to get
the integration to work. even after i copy all the dll files and set the
authentication in the ini file. nothing new happens for the users as if I did
nothing. no "change password" option is appearing and no "vacation notifier"
option. all they get change name, signature and folder settings.
find below my server details
Windows Server 2008 R2 (64bit)
hmail server 5.3.3-B1879
hmail is installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\hMailServer\
my default IIS application pool is authenticating as "Network Service" and has
Full rights
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as the DB engine
all installed on the same machine
please note when i switch back to v5 hmail integration works perfect. and this
is a fresh server and has no production environment on it yet.

Normally, we don't do this, but since this is not the first time we hear of hMailServer integration issues, and
everything is working fine here on our servers, we'd like to ask you to provide us with Remote Desktop access to
your product installation. We don't promise anything but we might be able to troubleshoot this directly. If you're
interested, please send access details over via HelpDesk, and please
include this forum thread link for a reference.

The issue was fixed on your installation, looks like passwords including certain special characters like #
were not processed correctly.
