          Hi All,

I have a question about the temp folder. In another post, I read that it is save to clean it. Just wanted to make sure: Can I clean it every night? What is if a users is online and just tries to download such an attachment on the same time? Is there any problem?

I do use IMAP access to my mail server. I checked the mail folder (APP_DATA) and there is nothing in it (I guess that because of using IMAP). But why are all the attachments getting stored in the temp folder? I found attachments in there which nobody downloaded so far. What is the reason for this temp folder storage?

 Many thanks,
 Konrad

Temp folder is used for storing data parsed out of messages, those are mainly attachments, so purging the folder while there are active user sessions might cause data loss. The same folder is used for uploaded files to be used for sending messages out.

Is there a way to figure out if somebody is a active session (maybe a flag in the database)?

Another question: It should be save to delete old files (older than 1 day), right?

There's information about last login time in the database, if that might help.

 Yes, I think it's a safe approach.
