Possible reason is that WebMail settings are incorrect (no LicenseKey, wrong POP3 account settings). What message is displayed when you try to log in?

Also, could you provide us with URL of your site where WebMail is installed? I.e. something such as http://myserver.com/webmail

This will allow us to detect the problem easily.

You may email to mailbee@iforum.com if you need some private communication.

We got the web end working...

Right now we can only have people who are users on the server... that is the problem in a nut shell

How do we add users without adding users accounts..

I tested http://rcdc.myserver.org/mail using my external email account. All works fine. This means license key valid correct and all non-POP3 settings are correct.

In administration panel I found that POP3 server is "localhost". I replaced it with "rcdc.myserver.org".
I think this will work out.

You may try now whether the problem is gone.

Since I don't have any POP3 demo account on your server, I cannot check it myself.

To restict webmail access to your server users only, uncheck "Allow advanced login" in "Administration Console"/"WebMail settings".

WebMail Lite does not store user accounts anywhere (i.e. no database of any kind used). When some user logs in, typed username and password are immediately passed to POP3 server.

When "Allow advanced login" is turned off, the user just cannot specify POP3 server different from one specified in "WebMail settings".

If you need advanced functionality where user accounts are maintaned by WebMail system, consider upgrading to MailBee WebMail Pro system:

Common reason of sending failure is that SMTP server requires authentication or does not relay from or to specific addresses.

You may turn off "Require authentication" or any other relay restrictions for IP address where WebMail is running in SMTP server propertues.

Another option is to upgrade to WebMail Pro which supports SMTP authentication.

I was able to send emails from this demo account to addresses local to your server:

- Test@rcdc.myserver.org
- Rcartassi@rcdc.myserver.org

This means relay rules (if no SMTP authentication is used) of your SMTP server currently allow to relay to local addresses only.

I will also try to contact you on MSN.

Your SMTP server does not send email to external address even if authentication is on (I tried to send with Outlook).

However, it seems I found why SMTP Virtual server is missing in IIS control panel.

SMTP and NNTP Virtual Server Missing in Internet Services Manager

I reinstalled Printing and File Sharing services, but restart request appeared. I didn't bring myself to restart your server since I'm not your admin. I hope after restart IIS will show SMTP config in the properties.

I recommend you to visit http://www.visualwin.com site.
Looks as a good source for Win2003 information.

I am using Windows 2003 to educate myself. I run pop3 service and it is OK sending and receiving. But I want the visitors can register themselves for a new email via web interface. I have to use asp or aspx pages. Can mailbee do this mission. Or do you know any free aplicaton to do this.

Try the following link: Add an email account to a windows 2003 pop3 service using script

Please note this link points to third-party product/solution. We do not support it in any way. If you have any questions regarding this solution, please post them at motobit.com.
