My web mail is very slow and sluggish; in contrast, the Thunderbird connection is very good.
What are the things that I can do to increase the performance?

Few questions for you:

1) Which version of WebMail you're using? Is it Lite or Pro, PHP or .NET? What's the version number?

2) Are you using IMAP or POP3?

3) Did you try using different synchronization modes for Inbox? Which of them work slowly?

1- it is WebMail lite: free version
   - uses PHP
2- I am using POP:
   I have tested both Direct Mode and Entire messages Mode.

4- In My system my Logon and and the Email address is different, is there a way to change the Email address in the setting?
