I want to be able to show a shared calendar to all visitors of my site (regardless of them being logged in) in a small box like an iframe, so that it can fit in a column on every page of the site

Once you have calendar added, select it in Calendar Manager and choose "Share and publish" menu item. Check "Make public web access to this calendar" option, and you'll get URL for this calendar you can use in IFRAME container.
