I just installed webmail lite PHP on a webhotel
Installation and configuration went fine, but there's trouble sending mail.
The log says(I have substituted DOMAIN instead of my real domain):
[02/18/2009 01:21:56] [SMTP] Connecting to server mailout.one.com on port 25
[02/18/2009 01:21:56] SMTP >>: EHLO DOMAIN.dk
[02/18/2009 01:21:56] SMTP >>: AUTH LOGIN
[02/18/2009 01:21:56] SMTP Error <<: 503 5.5.1 Error: authentication not enabled
[02/18/2009 01:21:56] >>>[from_server]>>>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<webmail>
<error><![CDATA[Can't send message. Wrong username and/or password. Authentication failed.]]></error>
</webmail>
Authentication is enabled, but apparently it won't work with the one.com SMTP server?!
Has anyone got Webmail Lite to work on a One.com domain?

I guess you must enable authentication
when setting up your email account.

The SMTP server uses authentication by default and I cannot change that.

The mailserver expects the full email address including domain as login, ie xxx@yyy.dk, and the corresponding password.
Webmail lite already does this with pop3, so why can't it do this with SMTP?
