When I try to set up my Outlook and Live service, I get a password error.
I'm using an app-generated password, but it doesn't work.
The parameters I'm using are:
Incoming server (IMAP): outlook.office365.com, port 993
Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp-mail.outlook.com, port 587
Additionally, I also have a problem with my libero.it account:
I get an error with the outgoing mail server. The parameters I'm using are:
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.libero.it, port 465, SSL.
anyone have some advice?
thanks

To use outloook. com accounts external you have to enable smtp service in the account settings from outlook first. Additionally outlook requires oauth2 authentification
Please not that the issues come from your email privider and not from Aurora. I dont think that somebody here will explain you the setup for different email services.

Thank you, the issue with Libero has been resolved as there was a space in the SMTP address.
As for Live and Outlook, the SMTP service is enabled, I have also generated an app password, but it doesn't work.

A few years back, Microsoft announced that they're going to discontinue basic authentication (with the use of username/password) in favor of modern authentication (OAuth2). Initially it was for corporate Outlook.com accounts only, but since then, free email accounts apparently were moved to that platform as well.
Thus, seems it is not currently possible to access Microsoft email accounts with Aurora, or with any other IMAP client that doesn't support OAuth2; at the moment, we only support OAuth2 for Gmail, and we may consider adding such support for Microsoft accounts as well.

Follow-up: while Microsoft accounts offer an app password feature, it's only for skipping 2FA with apps which don't support it, not for email access over IMAP.
