 i can't find where the problem is, i am using webuzo that has Squirrel Mail by default and i can send and receive properly.
 
 On WebMail Lite i get this error: https://i.imgur.com/0yiNYu9.png
 
 i tried both with ssl and without ssl with same result. here is the log

 In the logs I can see SMTP authentication is disabled on your server. When webmail tries or authenticate, this results in an error. You can disable it in webmail (in its admin panel / domain settings).
 
 However, SMTP server without authentication is a big security risk (unless this server can only be accessed from internal network and is never visible from outside). I'd recommend you to contact your mail server admin to consider enabling SMTP authentication there.
