When I try to search for non-latin text an error occurs:
(TAG5 BAD Bogus attribute list in UID SORT)

Most likely, that specific IMAP server doesn't support this kind of search, so it throws an error and WebMail simply relays the error message to end-user. You might be able to find more information on the reasons of the issue if you enable logging in AdminPanel, set logging verbosity to Debug, reproduce the problem and check the logs.
