Hi,
I am in the process of evaluating various webmail solutions for my domain. I am now trying out WebMail Lite PHP and it seems promising. Only issue is that I cannot so far log into my webmail solution because the webmail is located on domain webmail.domain.org and my main domain is domain.org, the latter is where the email accounts are registered and used.
In other words: I am trying to set up http://webmail.domain.org so that it can read mails for the users at domain.org. I cannot find any setting to configure this and the webmail solution tries to log in my users on the IMAP server using user@webmail.domain.org instead of user@domain.org.
How do I fix this? I am a PHP coder so a pointer to whatever source file and function I need to tweak would be appreciated.
Thank you.
P.S. Please consider this a feature enhancement request: The ability to have the webmail solution on another domain than the actual mail users are on.
Cheers,
Mikael/archfrog

Hello,
Generally speaking, WebMail installation URL is unrelated to domain of mailserver used. If you log into AdminPanel and check "Default domain settings" under Domains tab, you can specify hostnames and ports for IMAP and SMTP servers used.
But that one is about hostnames used, domain part of email address is a different thing.
By default, WebMail is configured so that users are supposed to enter their full email address on login page. If you'd like them to enter just the username so that @domain.com part is appended automatically, that can be done as described on this documentation page.
Hope this helps!
